什麽是HDMI？

HDMI(高解析多媒體介面)是近來快速普及的一種數位顯示介面技術，HDMI是從DVI(Digital Video Interface)介面發展而來，它的最大特色是整合影音訊號一起傳輸，與傳統影音分離傳輸不同。2006年六月HDMI工作小組推出最新的1.3版規範，一舉將其頻寬倍增到10.2Gbps，並支援更高的色深數。

1. 高速傳輸－HDMI 1.3版將原先4.96Gbps的頻寬倍增至10.2Gbps，藉由將Single Link MD 的165MHz寬度提升至340MHz， 希望藉Single Link即可符合未來更高流量的高解析數位內容，若是有需要，也可採用B型雙TMD規格，以 更進一步加大頻寬。

2.更高色數－現有的HDMI 1.1及1.2版僅能支援到24bit色深，1.3版HDMI介面則是大幅擴充至30-bit、36-bit以及48-bit（RGB或YCbCr），具有輸出一億色以上的能力，並大幅增加對比的階層。此外，支援新一代的〝xvYCC〞color space，號 稱具有目前color space規格的1.8倍顏色訊號輸出能力。

3.支援無損音效－在音源傳輸方面，由於目前流行的音效規格大多是採用壓縮過的音色，因此在動態表現上難免會有失真的狀況，HDMI支援了多軌高流量的無壓縮音源或非失真壓縮音源（如Dolby TrueHD和DTS-HD Master Audio）。
